Waveland – Sept 16 – Mrs. Julia Anna McClan, died at her home here Sunday night at 12 o’clock from heart trouble thus terminating a short illness from Sunday afternoon at 4 o’clock. Mrs. McClain was born on the Clore homestead north of the Shades July 8, 1850. She married WB McClain Sept 26, 1892, and has lived in Waveland the remainder of her life. She was the daughter of Simon and Mary Clore. To know her was to love her. She was a faithful and devoted wife and mother. She is survived by one daughter, Bessie at home, one step daughter, Mrs. Samuel Milligan of this city, three brothers, two sisters, Funeral services will be held from the home Wednesday afternoon at two o’clock. - kbz
